"Non-irritating" is "Non-true"!

Allergic reaction to Mastisol is very real, and is not nearly as rare as Ferndale would like you to believe. The widespread painful and itchy blistering I got from this was so bad it lifted the dressing right off my incision.

My doctors told me that it was highly unlikely to give me an allergic reaction, because they were nearly unheard of. I went to WebMD and 31 people said otherwise. I confirmed with a patch test - I had an allergic reaction. It wasn't mechanical contact dermatitis, it wasn't fracture blistering. It was red, painful, itchy blistering which spread all over my foot, not just where the Mastisol had been applied.

Don't believe your Pharma Rep, believe your patients. My biggest gripe is that doctors are told it is next to impossible to have this happen, yet it happened to me and to many other people I have since read about. Be aware.
