A hydrocolloid dressing is a wound care solution used for treating bed sores, minor burns, or other mildly exuding wounds.

The most important element of hydrocolloid dressings is their inner layer of gel-forming agents called hydrocolloid particles (including carboxymethylcellulose, gelatin, and pectin).
