The BioMedical Life Systems, Micro Plus® device is a two-channel analog device designed for microcurrent therapy, a well-studied modality for over 30 years.
Microcurrent, or MENS (Microcurrent Electrical Nerve Stimulator), differs from traditional TENS devices. TENS uses a larger current called "Milliamp," while Microcurrent devices use "Microamp," which is one thousandth the size of a Milliamp. The sensation for a Microcurrent device is usually not felt.
Microcurrent therapy releases ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) to transport energy within cells for metabolism. ATP production is essential to every living cell, and the body uses ATP to accelerate its own healing agenda.
