The Tegaderm film 1626w is one of the transparent film dressings available from the Tegaderm family. These transparent dressings can be used for many different uses. When used as film dressings over wounds and blisters, tegaderm film 1626w provides a number of benefits, safeguarding your skin from infections and giving the right kind of hygiene and protection you always needed. Tegaderm film 1626w has been recognized internationally as well, to be one of the most popular solutions over wounds of any depth and any size.

The Tegaderm film 1626w dressing acts as any other transparent film dressings. It could be used over surgical incisions and injection sites also. The greatest advantage of this product is that it fits well over the area where it is used, and at the same time provides a breathable space for your wound or blister to heal. The wound is well protected from bacteria, viruses and any other infection that an exposed wound may be subject to.

Tegaderm film 1626w basically disallows any outside contaminant into the wound, by being a primary or secondary barrier. So, it is widely used to protect abrasions, ulcers, skin tears, skin graft sites at the donor area, burns over the skin, as eye coverings and protectors, over stage 1 or 2 pressure ulcers, and to protect skin from moisture and friction. It provides the complete hygiene that your wound requires.

Other Uses

The Tegaderm film 1626w transparent dressing is also widely used in order to protect and secure the intra venal devices that are used for clinical purposes. It is used to protect the secondary as well as midline venous catheters. The tegaderm film 1626w is also used as a protection over the central venous catheters and implanted infusion devices or ports. It can also be used in dialysis and other procedures to keep catheters as well as pulmonary artery catheters or other surgical catheters like Epidural catheters in place. The tegaderm film 1626w dressing are also an excellent way to hold a duragesic pain patch in place for extended amounts of time.

The Tegaderm film 1626w or any other Tegaderm transparent Film Dressing is readily available in several different sizes and shapes. They are available with a very unique "picture frame" feature or "first aid" feature in their delivery system. The presence of this feature actually helps in a very precise as well as safe and secure placement of this transparent film dressing at every instance where it is used.

These tegaderm film 1626w have been prepared using the latest technology and in hygienically protected environments, so that they can be safely put to use in clinical purposes. They are unique, since the adhesive system is of good quality, and yet, does not get too bonded over the skin causing a difficulty to remove it or to allow proper air circulation over the wound.     Tegaderm was used with my wifes wound vac to keep it in place. Now we use tegaderm for injuries she gets after falling to hold alginate dressings in place.

    This dressing allows for water proofing of a dialysis catheter which makes showering possible. Tegaderm film dressings are easier to apply than any bandage I have tried. You have the best price I could find online
